Make Up Monday- Mint

Last week’s Fat Friday was in preparation for St. Pattie’s Day, though we didn’t use actual mint in that recipe we used Mint flavors…so make up Monday this week is very simple.  Mint Fruit Salad.  I read in Runner’s World this month that mint  is “a rich source of phytonutrients called monterpenes.  Scientists think that these compounds have the potential to help ward off certain types of cancer.” They also suggested adding mint to fruit salad, so that’s what I did for Make Up Monday.

Mint Fruit Salad

What you need:

A few springs of mint leaves roughly chopped

Your favorite fruit salad.

Put it together:

Mix it all up!

Eat alone or over yogurt.

Enjoy!

    You know what else is good on fruit salad? Minced ginger. It’s amazing.
